A Year of Inspiring Events: Japan Craft Gift Show and the Beautiful Crafts Workshop in Paris

One of the most rewarding experiences this year was having the opportunity to showcase our products at two major international events—the Japan Craft Gift Show and the Beautiful Crafts Workshop Blooming in Paris. These events allowed us to bring TanMujiang’s unique approach to craftsmanship, tradition, and creativity directly to people who share our passion for artisanal quality and cultural heritage.

• Japan Craft Gift Show: An Interactive Experience in Tokyo

In September, we were honored to take part in the prestigious Japan Craft Gift Show in Tokyo. This event was a wonderful opportunity to connect with a community that deeply appreciates the nuances of craft, and it was the perfect venue to introduce our wooden combs and brushes to both local Japanese attendees and international visitors. At our booth, we wanted to offer more than just a display; we aimed to provide an immersive experience that would allow people to feel the heart and heritage embedded in each of our products.

We were thrilled by the positive response and feedback from attendees at the Tokyo Gift Show, and we look forward to returning in the future. Being able to connect with so many craft lovers and hearing their enthusiasm for our mission reaffirmed our commitment to quality, tradition, and sustainability.

• Beautiful Crafts Workshop Blooming in Paris: A Celebration of Artistry and Inclusivity

In another significant event, TanMujiang had the honor of participating in the Beautiful Crafts Workshop Blooming in Paris, held in conjunction with the Paris 2024 Paralympic Games. This event was particularly meaningful to us as it provided a platform to showcase not only our craftsmanship but also our values of inclusivity and empowerment.

With one-third of our workforce being artisans with physical challenges, the Beautiful Crafts Workshop offered an opportunity to celebrate the skills and resilience of these remarkable individuals.

This event was not just a showcase but a meaningful experience that allowed us to celebrate the talents of our diverse team. It highlighted the strength of inclusivity and reminded us of the transformative power of meaningful work. Watching the enthusiasm of Parisian attendees as they admired our handmade combs and hearing their support for our inclusive approach to employment was deeply touching. 

Honoring Tradition and Embracing Innovation

One of our guiding principles at TanMujiang is the belief that modern design and traditional craftsmanship can harmonize to create timeless, high-quality products. Each of our wooden combs and brushes is crafted using age-old woodworking techniques that have been passed down through generations. For example, this year, we introduced limited-edition collections that blend cultural motifs with contemporary designs, such as our Christmas-themed combs featuring festive elements like a sled and elk painted delicately by hand on the handle. It is through these innovations that we aim to create products that honor our heritage while remaining relevant to modern needs and aesthetics.
